Introduction

There are many people who dream of going to the USA to achieve their dreams. It is, after all, the land of dreams. Many international students wish to pursue further studies in America too. But the thought of the expenses is probably deterring you from fulfilling your dream. But don’t worry. There are a lot of international scholarships provided by various private and public organizations, with which you can achieve your dream of studying there. The main purpose of international programs for students is to provide a healthy environment and to contribute to the welfare of the global community.

In this article, we take a look at the various scholarships that are available to international students who wish to pursue their education in the U.S.

Before you look for an international scholarship, you need to figure out a plan. There are two kinds of scholarships available: fully funded, and partially funded. Fully funded scholarships cover all your expenses, like tuition fees, accommodation expenses, medical expenses, and various others. You are offered a stipend, so as to enable you to meet your expenses. Since these scholarships require high amounts of money, these programs are usually less in number.

Partially funded scholarships cover only a part of your expenses. In most cases, it is the tuition fees of the colleges and universities which you might be attending. Rest of your expenses, you would have to bear on your own. Since the amount required is less, these scholarships are more readily available.

Now, you need to figure out whether you need a fully funded or a partially funded scholarship. To know that, you need to calculate your average cost of living and studying in a foreign country. Factor in all expenses that you might have to bear as a foreign student. Include factors like tuition fees, additional college fees, education material expenses, boarding and lodging expenses, travel expenses, medical expenses, and health insurance, among a lot of other factors. Once you have a clear chart for your expenses, see what your finances can cover. Decide on the scholarships that you want to pursue based on the kind of financial aid that you would require.

After you are done with that step, here are some scholarships that you can check out.
